Festival Fever

Good evening my music mavericks,

As those close to me know, I am a huge music fan. My ITunes collection displays an eclectic variety of so many different genres from deep house, to rap, to R&B. Music has the power to transport me to my happy place whatever I am doing and can really push me to my limits when I’m out running or on my bike.

I am lucky enough to have already been to some amazing concerts and festivals this year with more planned in the next few months. A few week ago I attended Wireless festival with Drake headlining. The weather was blissfully bright and  warm so I decided on the below outfit. My shorts are customised Levi’s with a sequin detail on the back pocket by myself, belt by Ted Baker, my striped Breton top is from a local shop, my sunglasses are Ray ban and my shoes are diamanté adorned Converse lovingly made by one of my best friends.

In 2010 I went to see Calvin Harris at the O2. As it was New Year we decided to dress up for the occasion, I wore the below outfit. The dress is a vintage designer one and my shoes were from Nine West.

Whilst I was working overseas in South Africa where I have family luckily, my cousins and I went to see Swedish House Mafia. The day was perfect and whilst sat in a dusty field I wore the below. My sunglasses are by Rayban, my vest by Mango and shorts are from French connection.

I also went to the Holi one festival whilst there, which was an unforgettable experience. Every hour on the hour thousands of people would throw coloured powder into the air whilst dancing to deep house music. As the colours were so vibrant everyone wore white clothing which ended up looking simply spectacular. This was me after a few rounds of the powder throwing with the beautiful Table Mountain as our backdrop😊

Every year I attend SW4 festival in Clapham Common which is always so much fun and has me dancing all day and night to the killer anthems. Whether it is raining (where my fail safe clothing will be Hunter wellies and my Mac) or stunningly sunny (where I usually wear my trusty sunglasses and funky shorts) it is my favourite London festival and I cannot wait to attend it this year again in August.

My main advice for musical events is just always have fun and do not take yourself too seriously – music can bring up so many different emotions in every individual but for me as long as I am surrounded by my amazing friends and I feel cool and collected in my outfit of choice then I know I will have an awesome day. Just look at the smiles on these lovely faces from the Ed Sheeran concert this past weekend – you cannot fake that elation 😀

Until next week, take care

Keya x
